Arrow puzzle tips: find the next clear path
Arrow Escape Puzzle is a free online logic game about the order of your moves. An arrow can leave only along the direction it points, without another arrow blocking its route. These strategies help you read the board before tapping.
1. Trace the path beyond the arrowhead
Start at the head and imagine a straight line continuing to the edge of the board. Check that entire exit path, not just the space immediately in front of the arrow. A distant part of another arrow can still block the move.
An arrow near the edge is a useful place to start looking, but it is not automatically a safe move. Its direction decides which edge it must reach.
2. Work backwards from a blocked arrow
If arrow A is blocked by arrow B, inspect B before trying A again. If B is blocked by C, inspect C. Look for an arrow at the end of that chain with an open route, remove it, then check the earlier arrows again.
For example: A points right into B, while B points upward into an empty path. Remove B first, then recheck A. If a second blocker remains farther along A’s route, clear that blocker before firing A.
3. Recheck the board after each move
Removing one arrow can open routes for several others. Rather than remembering a long sequence, pause after a successful move and scan the newly empty area. Pay attention to arrows whose heads point toward that space.
There is no timer. Take the extra moment to inspect an exit path instead of making repeated guesses that cost hearts.
4. Use a hint to understand a move
When you are stuck, use an available hint to identify a possible move. Before firing the highlighted arrow, trace its direction and notice why its path is clear. That observation can help you recognise the same situation on a later level.
Reset is useful when you want to try the board again. It asks for confirmation, so you can cancel and keep playing if you pressed it accidentally.
5. Choose controls that make inspection easier
On a computer, use the arrow keys or WASD to select an arrow and Enter to fire it. Selection alone does not fire. H uses a hint and R opens the reset confirmation. On a touchscreen, tap to fire and use drag or pinch to adjust the board view.
Use the game’s Full screen button if you want more room for the board. The same rules apply to campaign levels and the daily puzzle.
Put the strategy into practice
Start with your current campaign level, or choose Daily Puzzle for a separate challenge. Focus on one clear exit at a time: inspect, remove, and reassess.
